I received my kit the first week in May 1997.  I immediately went to work on the Horizontal Stabilizer per the plans and instruction manual.  In July 1997, I purchased several restaurants and moved from Chicago, IL to Raleigh, NC.  At that time the kit sat, all packaged up, in a garage, unpacked, for over two years.  I'm now back in the Chicago area and hard at work on the project again.

If anyone is in the Chicago area and wants to know what it's like to own your own fast food restaurant, let me know.  It'll only cost you a beer.

Originally, I didn't have a digital camera so the pictures are a little weak

This is the HS and Wing jig plan that I received from another builder around 1997.  The height of the jig is not cast in stone.  I used 36" but moving it higher or lower is ok as long as it's comfortable.  As you can see in the pictures I also added a tray across the bottom to hold tools and materials while I work.

This is the freestanding jig that I made for the Horizontal Stabilizer.  The shelf under the jig was invaluable for putting things like clecos, rivets, drill and anything else you might need.

I used carriage bolts on the end of each jig foot to balance the whole thing and a triangle shaped piece of 1/2" plywood to tie the Vertical and Horizontal base pieces together.
